Tulsa, OK: On Wednesday the Oklahoma Defenders added a championship caliber player to their roster as the team announced the signing of Offensive Lineman/Fullback Antwan Floyd. Floyd spent the past six seasons with the Tulsa Talons of the Arena Football League. Antwan was instrumental in the Talons 2007 AF2 championship.
The 6'1 315-pound Floyd is no stranger to playing football in Oklahoma. He spent his college football career at the University of Tulsa. During his time at the University of Tulsa, Floyd was a two-year starter on the defensive line in 2002 and 2003.
Floyd is the second University of Tulsa player added to the Defenders roster. The Defenders added DB Bobby Blackshire to their roster last month.
The Defenders will begin their inaugural campaign March 24rd as they travel to Sioux City, IA to face the Sioux City Bandits at the Tyson Events Center. Kickoff for the season opener is slated for 7:05pm.
I hope he plays well. He is on my AFL fantasy team.
